Professional Journey
Giancarlo has served in several key positions, including CIO at YipTV, CIO at ACN, CTO at X Plus One, and Head of Emerging Technologies for Household International (now HSBC). At HSBC, he was responsible for the design and support of over 30 million credit card customers within their E-commerce solutions in both the EU and USA.
As the Senior VP of Engineering at Vonage, Giancarlo played a pivotal role in scaling the company's infrastructure and software development from 6 points of presence to 36 in under two years, growing the client base from less than 100k to over 2 million.

Giancarlo's expertise covers a wide range of disciplines including network infrastructure, systems engineering, capacity planning, network security, and E-commerce infrastructure. He has a proven track record in building, redesigning, and securing infrastructure and software engineering for network, systems, and applications.
His leadership in creating security teams, developing disaster recovery sites, and revamping software architectures has been instrumental in driving the success of the organizations he's been part of.
Notable Achievements
Early in his career, Giancarlo designed and created turn-key system solutions for Police and Fire departments as well as municipalities, including Jersey City Police/Fire, Union City Police, Morristown Police/Fire, and Newark Municipality.
Throughout his career, he has built data centers, developed ground-up security teams, and successfully migrated companies to meet SOX/AS5 compliance. His work in storage life management solutions and software architecture improvements has consistently reduced complexity and increased ROI.
